A little (bio)ethical reflection on post-pandemic tourism

In 2019, the year in which global tourist flows were still on the rise, the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) reported that 1,400 billion international tourists were mobilized around the world, and the projected growth rate for years to come was between 3 and 4%. Today we know that those numbers did not arrive. At the end of 2021, international tourist arrivals will reduced by 72% compared to pre-pandemic figures, with a drop of one billion tourists.
