Ethics and politics

We have witnessed a presidential debate, in which campaign strategies, both in the first round and in the second round to choose the next president of Colombians for the next four years, are a national shame, unprecedented in our democratic history. A series of immoral practices have been developed in the exercise of practical politics, which violate values, ethics and the true political sense in contemporary society. An action whereeverything goes”, to remove rivals from the electoral contest, using all sorts of dark, Machiavellian strategies, combining what in the language of the left is called all forms of struggle, is the order of the day. These actions violate the dignity of people, honor, morals, the free exercise of democracy and its freedoms, detracting from one of the noblest sciences of humanity, such as politics, conceived to be put to serve to town. Actions that are from every point of view unacceptable and repudiable.
