Gene editing: the balance between power and ethics

Suppose there is 100% efficacy and safety in editing a human's genome: what diseases should be cured? Are we ready to eradicate every disease from human life? Who would have access to this kind of technology, is it say, should it be a public or private good? If each nation has its internal regulation, how can we avoid genetic "tourism"? The only certainty is that reaching a consensus requires our willingness to dialogue. Faced with the questions that arise from genetic editing, it is imperative to point out that the analogy of the word editor does not encompass the ethical responsibilities of editing organic beings, the dangerous implications of editing our dwelling, our body, escape.
