Money or ethics: what does science need?

Investment in science, often scant, raises a moral debate when it comes from companies or countries like Saudi Arabia. Is it ethical for science to advance thanks to the pocket of a state that violates human rights? In the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) investigates the Spaniard Mario Lanza, a world leader in advanced electronics. The Barcelona engineer always dreamed of working in an institution that would provide him with all the necessary resources to carry out the studies he had in mind.
