For an ethical regeneration of journalism

World Press Freedom, FAPE urges the media and journalists to promote an ethical regeneration of journalism to regain the trust of citizens and adequately guarantee their right to information.

Such ethical regeneration is more necessary than ever in the face of the advance of misinformation, which encourages hatred, polarization, trenchism, discrimination, hate speech and intolerance.

Journalism that disseminates truthful, verified information, contrasted with reliable sources, respectful of our ethical standards and done with rigor and honesty, appears as the main support of this ethical regeneration, as opposed to that practiced by pseudo-media that only respond to spurious interests.
