Personal effectiveness, the great forgotten in organizations and in our lives

We live in a world of constant change, with access to a huge amount of information and subject to constant distractions, whether internal or external. In a world like this it seems almost impossible to find time to do all the things we want to do. A feeling of not reaching everything and of being in continuous stress. And we are immersed in what Peter F. Ducker called "knowledge work." And this is very different from what we were used to and for which we are biologically prepared: manual work. And there are big differences between one and the other.

Manual work was evident, the action and the objective to be achieved were clear and there was a clear balance between time and work to be done. In knowledge work, many of the tasks we do not know what they will imply, we receive them constantly through calls, emails, emergencies... and we always have more work than we can assume.
